"A Historic home that kids will love"

Historical house tours and kids don't usually go together but in this case the tour guide has a special tour aimed at little ones.  This home is located in historic Georgetown and was owned by the descendents of Martha Washington.  A visual scavenger hunt and touch baskets in each room allow kids to connect with the people who lived here.  It might not work for very high energy kids but we were amazed our preschooler and toddler enjoyed it so much and were captivated the whole tour.  Afterwards let them burn off their energy in the large gardens and take a picnic on the lawn.   This is a relatively unknown DC landmark and you won't have to battle the summer crowds.  Kids are free.
