I really like the concept and idea for this place. It sounds so awesome. . . an area where your kids happily play while you get to relax and chat with other moms. I took my 3 year-old and 20 month-old there and it was anything BUT relaxing. The play area was incredibly crowded, which made my kids nervous and clingy. I had to sit with them and play with them, so it wasn't great to have to pay for an attendant to watch them when I was watching them myself. Also the food and drinks were over-priced. I'd go again. . . maybe?
I like Tot Spot because it has a lot of toys for toddlers to play with. My three year old really likes it. There are attendants who are supposed to watch your children for you while you can enjoy a coffee and lunch. The downside to this for me is that if my kid can still see me, she wants to come in and out of the locked doors the whole time, so I spend my time focusing on that, rather than anything else. There is a couch inside the play area, though, so if your child needs you there, you can sit in there.
Cons: Sometimes it is unclear who the attendants are. Even if I sit in the play area with my kid, I still have to pay to be there, so that kind of ruins the point of the whole place. It is also a little spendy once you add up the price to play and food for you and your kid. If you are willing to spend $20-$30, though, it is a pretty good way to spend a morning.
This is one of my favorite places to take my 28 month old. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I buy my daughter the toddler plate of food and it comes with half a bagel and cream cheese, corn or peas, grapes cut in half, fish crackers, and milk. I think that is a good price. I love being able to go in, check in, start a tab and then start playing and be able to pay in the end!
I had my daughters second birthday party there and it went very well. The adults were actually able to interact and the owner even helped bring all my food and party supplies in and set up! I think it is the ultimate place to have a toddler birthday party (especially in fall/winter like my kids.)
There is a play station for almost anything you can think of like, train table, dress up, kitchen, doll house, play houses with slides, etc...Also, there are play areas set up with seating around the outer perimeter. It can be crowded but I have never found it unbearable.
The tables can be sticky but they have baby wipes and hand sanitizer sitting out everywhere. The changing table in the bathroom has disposable paper you can lay down for changing which I thought was a nice detail! There is also a nice little shop inside for all your cloth diapering needs called http://www.cozybabyboutique.com/
They have wifi and I have seen a few moms working on there laptop while the kids play! There are even play attendants to help entertain your kids. I think they now even have drop off service. (but I don't know that I would do that.)
I drive down 405 from Everett and I feel that the trip is worth it! Look for coupons in your entertainment book or ask people you know if you can swap and get theres. You will save 50%!

Oh, but the bounce house is rarely up anymore for some reason :(
We were not impressed with our trek from NE Seattle to Tot Spot. We'd heard so much about it, how it was great to have kids play in the middle of the room while adults sat around and sipped coffee. However, we found the food and drinks to be WAY overpriced, the play area WAY too crowded, and in general, it was a strange design for a socializing venue. Won't go back again.
I am the owner after all!
