"small but nice!"

Compared to the other zoos in Ohio, this zoo is quite small.  But it is very nice.  They have lots of open spaces and many things for kids to do.  My little ones really enjoyed this zoo.  I wouldn't drive to get to it, but if you're in the area and need an activity, it's a good choice!

"One of the best!"

The Toledo Zoo is one of the best zoos around. Most of it is flat, making it easy for strollers, wheelchairs, etc. They have a ton of animals to see, including polar bears and others that you dont' see at smaller zoos. During the holidays, you can go at night to see over 2 millions lights at the zoo - a wonderful tradition. Just dress warmly!

"Toledo Zoo"

This zoo is a nice relaxing zoo that does have quite a few animals in it.  They also have an amazing display of lights around christmas time and I do recommend that.  My daughter loves to go to the zoo and especially see the new baby polar bear that they have on display..  Overall, I would recommend this zoo to anybody.

"Best Zoo In Ohio"

I love this Zoo. There is plenty of parking. The animal displays are close together, so you don't have to walk a million miles between seeing animals. The Polar Bear exhibit is awesome. You can walk through a building, and see the polar bears swimming. It's a fantastic, clean, family friendly zoo.

"Big in size but not original"

The zoo has a lot of ground to cover but doesn't compare to the near by neighbor-the Columbus Zoo. The walk from the parking area too the zoo could use some taxi service. Tip- make sure too pack a lunch as it gets expensive too eat here. Also watch the weather. Hot days can be miserable due to a lack of shade.

"We enjoyed it!"

It was a little spread out, so lots of walking, but a very enjoyable zoo with great exhibits! Penguin house was very nice! Enjoyed a picnic in the grass which we had all to ourselves and parking was easy so we did not have to walk too far to get our food and then go back in to the zoo.

"Perfect family adventure"

Our family has always loved visiting the Toledo zoo.  When we went this summer, my sons were 6 and 3 years old.  They zoo has great places to eat a shaded, picnic lunch, as well as a cafeteria if you would like to purchase something.
From the train ride, to the Gorilla cage, to the under water exhibits, it is all a fun-filled adventure to remember!  Needless to say we will be going again this year, and for many years to come.  Thank you!

"Toledo Zoo"

The Toledo zoo is always boasting some cute little baby animal.  We've had baby elephants, tigers, and for the second time in 10 years- polar bears.  The zoo has an amazing winter Christmas light display as well as a free day on Mondays for all Lucas County residents.  It is a wonderful family trip.

"Still one of the best places in town..."

The Toledo Zoo is one of the landmark attractions in Toledo to visit and is consistently upgraded and made to be family and user friendly.

The new Children's Zoo and additions to the elephant exhibit have only added to the attractiveness and interactive fun offered to children of all ages.  The zoo is successful with all of it's breeding programs including polar bear cubs in the last few years.

The seasonal exhibits inside the museum always offer a unique look into a specialized area every summer.  If you every have a chance to do the behind the scenes tours where you get to go behind the exhibits, I strongly recommend Arctic Adventure because you can see the polar bears off exhibit, the breeding and nesting habitats for the females, and also Neptune, the blind sea lion, who used to work for the US Navy.

Attractions including The Lights Before Christmas and the Halloween Trail in October offer season delights for the whole family.

I have visited the Toledo Zoo with my family over 100 times in my life and continue to see things to enjoy and explore.....highly recommend!

"Not my fav"

I prefer the Detroit zoo over the Toledo zoo, it is about equal driving for us. There seems to be a lot of concrete and not a lot of grass. It is nice to have the exhibits close together, not too much walking for young ones. It just doesn't have a real nature
feel to me. Food was fine, Animals were fine..but nothing that felt extra special. If it is the only zoo close to you, still worth it.

"Toledo Zoo"

We LOVE the Toledo Zoo!  An unexpected highlight of the area.  New exhibits have been added over the years and it just keeps getting better.  Kids love the seal water fountain first thing and we always have to stop at the beautiful gift shop on the way out!  Favorite exhibits are the polar bears you can see underwater too, the train ride through the "safari" and the icky spider & bugs display.  Also has a wonderful Christmas lights display through the holidays.
