This is Marco Island's public beach. It is perfect for family fun. The water is not too deep and should you want bigger waters, walk on through to the other side. Has a nice little restaurant and grill tiki. Rarely gets too packed. The only problem I see is that during peak times, it may not have enough parking.
Marco Island’s main public access often fills up early. Offshore, a sandbar known as Sand Dollar Island surfaces in low tide. Between it and the beach, tidal pools fill with fish, small shells, and the shore birds that feed upon them. Behind the beach, a restricted nesting area assures good bird-watching. The park has picnic facilities, food concessions, volleyball, a cool playground divided for two different age ranges, and water-sports rentals.
