"Nasty, Dirty, 3rd World"

Well, on the north side you got the area where the homeless live & it shows, it's negelected & filthy.

The south side is like a sardine can of campers, a trailer park on steroids.

I just have one thing to say "Maintenance"! It's badly needed, second - Clean the dang place up!!!!!!!

Pull into a site & you got dog feces, cig. butts, dead vegetation, trash. NO EXCUSE - they have more staff than Obama has golf caddies!

Enforcement of noise, drunks, speed limit, yeah sure you betcha! Provide your own security in this rat nasty of a so called "campground".

"Thousand Trails Pio Pico"

This campground has a few fantastic features.  There is a nice family pool that is separate from the adult pool so the kids can have free reign to roam and splash.  Also, there is a kids center that houses several pool tables, air hockey and assorted games.  There are also two playgrounds, although they are fairly old, and made of wood.  The little store on grounds has everything that a family may forget, and everything that children/teens want to eat while on vacation (junk food).   The staff is accommodating.  The campers are respectful of the campground rules.

The campground itself is in the hills of San Diego.  There is minimal shade.  The mountains do not offer a variety of hiking trails suitable for young children.  Kids will enjoy seeing the cottontails and squirrels that abound in the park.

All in all, this is a nice place to go to be with people you love or to use as a base while enjoying the sites of San Diego.  It would not be a premiere camping destination.
