It's just a very large hole in the floor with mammoth fossils. But listening to the tour guide tell the story makes it all come alive. We hadn't seen anything quite like this and I believe we all enjoyed it. The tour was a little different in that you stopped at telephones to listen to what the tour guide said. It was educational which i am always up for!
What a great way to explore the creation of fossils and how they are taken from excavation sites. The place is a working 'dig' and you get to see the various layers being excavated as the volunteers work to remove fossil remains. Such a cool science lesson for school aged kids!
