The Lower East Side Tenement Museum

"Great for Pre-teen and teens"

I went as a chaperon on a class trip and I was very impressed with the museum.  You go on  tour of an immigrant's tenement apartment in small groups and there are actors dressed and playing the part...different nationalities are represented.  You can ask questions as well so it's interactive and allows the kids to think get involved.  We saw a short movie first which explained what the tenements were and about immigration to the lower east side.  I highly recommend this.
