The Hershey museum is educational and fun too. My kids were a little too young to appreciate it, but they were thrilled to get a piece of chocolate at the end. The museum entrance was free and you ride in a little self-propelled cart through the exhibit. It was interesting to see how they make their chocolate and to get to eat some too! I would not recommend this for young children, it might be best for 4-5+ years old.
We went through the Hershey Museum on a ride that went through a fake Hershey chocolate factory. Through out the whole ride, there is the same song sung by a group of kids that was fun to sing along. It is really cute and teaches kids about how chocolate is made an were it comes from. It shows you the cocoa plants and even real footage from the actual factory in some areas of the ride. The kids loved getting sample chocolate at the end!!
So there aren't many places you can go nowadays where you can learn, have fun, and eat yummy chocolate while doing it. We like to make our rounds when we go to Hershey, PA and we've found ourselves at The Hershey Museum pretty often! The kids love dressing up as chefs and making chocolate creations. It's always messy but they love it so it is well worth the laundry the next day!!
We went to the Hershey Museum, as well as the Chocolate Lab. The Chocolate Lab was a special treat, as its a little expensive, but we visit Hershey often so it was time to try it! We ended up making "art" out of white and regular chocolate, and the kids really loved dressing up in the aprons and hats and getting to work! Afterwards, we hit the museum and loved its array of Hershey memorabilia. It was great to read how the Hershey company has contributed in such a positive way to the town.
The Hershey Museum is tons of fun and so interesting you get the eat chocolate, buy chocolate, and see how chocolate came about and is made it is absolutely amazing and i love it and really want to go back and take my kids!!!! Because the last time i got to go was when i was a kid and i thought it was the best thing in the world!!!
