The Crystal Palace Restaurant is located on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom. It serves a buffet of American cuisine at breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can reserve Character dinner with Winnie the Pooh and friends from the Hundred Acre Wood.
When we approached the hostess at the Crystal Palace and admitted we didn't have a reservation, she could have rolled her eyes and said, "Are you kidding me?!" Instead, she smiled and said, "Let me see what I can do!" Little did she know, it was not only my daughter's 4 year old birthday, but it was also our Make-a-Wish trip. (My daughter had leukemia). The got us a table before I told her why we were celebrating.
We were seated quickly, even though our trip was in the middle of summer and the restaurant was definitely a popular stop. We enjoyed a variety of meats, pastas, casseroles. The food was delicious, both for grown ups and our small children!
The characters were my favorite of any of the character meals we attended at Disney. They were cute, interactive, and non-threatening (my kiddos are a little shy).
After getting plenty of photos and autographs, we enjoyed some birthday desserts and headed out for more Disney fun. Don't miss the Crystal Palace on your Disney trip... no matter what you're celebrating!
This is an especially great place for little kids. The buffet is wonderful - for adults and kids. And of course what kid doesn't like winnie the pooh and his friends?! The only drawback - it takes some time for all the characters to make their way around to each table.
Its a beautiful restaurant, felt pretty elegant for a children's place. The food was good, but not fantastic. The highlight is definitely the characters that come visit your table. They move surprisingly quickly so you'll definitely get every character by your table in a reasonable amount of time.
Now that we've gone, we probably won't come back. There are too many other Disney restaurants we'd like to try out and this was not one of our favorites, although if you have a Pooh fan, definitely check it out!
This is a great place to schedule a character breakfast. They have the restaurant set up into 2 sides. The characters visit one dining room while the other is eating. Then the characters come to the other dining room.
The characters take their time to visit each table, take pictures and sign autographs. Since we are big Winnie the Pooh fans around here we loved this!
The breakfast is set up as a buffet and there is something for everyone. We made more than one trip up and left with very full tummy's.
Just keep in mind, character meals take more time than a quick grab-and-go so if time is of the essence you may want to skip this experience.
A nice break in the MK. The CP is a pretty, air conditioned spot for lunch. Good buffet with kid's chocies, adult fare and dessert bar with sundae station. The best part are the Winnie the Pooh characters that come to your table for autographs, pictures, hugs and more. Not to be missed if you have a pooh fan in your home.
The character breakfast at the Crystal Palace is wonderful. We took our 3 year old son and his grandparents to a breakfast here, and everyone had a great time. The price tag is kind of steep, but really what isn't at WDW? The food is better than you'd expect from a buffet, and the characters make the rounds fairly quickly. You have to be fast if you want to participate in the parade, because it really doesn't last very long. Make your reservation in advance--well in advance. I called to make our reservation for a party of 5 about 3 months before our trip. The Crystal Palace wasn't my first choice, but the times and dates for my top choices were booked by that time. However, I would absolutely choose The Crystal Palace again and recommend it to others without hesitation.
Kids got to see Pooh, Tigger, and Eeyore. The food was delicious. I like that the characters have plenty of time for pictures and autographs. I think it's definitely better to have a reservation set up so you can get right in and be seated. If not, you may have a bit of a wait outside (and it's very hot right now even in the morning).
This is where we went for breakfast with Pooh when we went to the Magic Kingdom. We just walked up and were able to be seated in 20 minutes. Not bad if you didn't get a chance book reservations a head of time. Pooh and his friends stopped by our table and my daughter was so happy to receive hugs from the different characters. The food is buffet-style and very tasty.
This was the best dining experience of our trip. We could see why it was voted Best Magic Kingdom Park Restaurant for young kids. It is a buffet so there is plenty to choose from even if you have a picky child. While you are eating, the Winnie the Pooh characters are walking around meeting kids, taking pictures, and signing autograph books.
