"Nice museum, but a little over-priced"

My children were 2 and 4 when they visited this museum and they still talk about it!  It's been over a year.  The displays are wonderful and range from the techy/ nerdy for older kids, to extensive water play and soft play areas for the younger kids.
I was a little annoyed by the over-attentive, slightly bossy staff.  Children should be allowed to play freely at a children's museum, but some of the staff hovered, told my children and others how and where to play and insisted on "helping" the kids do activities "the right way".  I prefer a more organic approach.  In their defense, we visited soon after they opened, and I've heard that they've relaxed a bit in the meantime (though I haven't re-visited).
Compared to other Children's museum, the price is a little high ($12 / person for anyone over 2).  They weren't accepting memberships from other ACM memberships at the time (look into this as it may have changed since).  Still, if you're in Greenville and looking for some family fun, this is a great option.
