The Cape Cod Rail Trail is a 25-mile-long asphalt biking path that follows the old (discontinued) railroad tracks that cut a swath through six towns (Dennis, Harwich, Brewster, Orleans, Eastham, and Wellfleet), Nickerson State Park, and the Cape Cod National Seashore. The trail is fairly flat and safe; however, short sections of the trail are on roads. There are lots of places to pull over for beach fun, buy a hard-earned snack, or use a restroom. Restrooms are located at Nickerson State Park in Brewster, the Cape Cod National Seashore Salt Pond Visitor Center in Easthampton, and the National Seashore Provinceland Headquarters in Provincetown.
