"A nice break from the beach"

We very much enjoyed he aquarium....just wish that for a "State Aquarium" it would have been larger with more exhibits. My kids loved petting the sting rays in the special area for this. The dolphins were my absolute favorite! And of course, lots of fish tanks everywhere! The turtles are also pretty fun...especially with the windows into their tanks. Just wish there were a bit more aquarium for the price.

"dolphin show from underground"

Great place for kids who love looking at animals!  Many things to see and even some things to touch!  There are also shows that the kids will enjoy.  Our favorite was to go underground and watch the dolphin show from there.  We have seen dolphins before, but never had watched them underwater.

"Great Day at the Aquarium"

We visted the aquarium on vacation and our almost 2-year-old loved it! The dolphin show is a must! The dolphins are so cute and afterward you can go inside and see them thru the aquarium. They kept coming up to the glass and "kissing" my little boy, made for some awesome pictures!

"Great Aquarium for a little city!"

The Aquarium in Corpus Christi is impressive in many ways. The yearly passes are really affordable and they're constantly improving the exhibits. I also really love that the mission statement is to educate children and adults about how to be better stewards of the land. It's not an amusement park, it's a place where we get to help our child better understand the environment and get him up close to rescued turtles and dolphins. The Aquarium is in the midst of redoing the playground and is putting in a splash park!

"More than just marine life"

A pleasant surprise at the Texas State Aquarium… there’s more to see other than just marine life.  They have a show that incorporates rescued /injured animals.  Great fun for families, nice playground for kids, they even have a library of sort at the top.  Lots to see and do with kids of all ages.  Worth the trip.

"Fun with the Family"

The Texas State Aquarium is one way to explore the depths of the Gulf of Mexico without getting your feet wet. Kids and adults will learn about more than 250 species of marine life and the beauty of a coral reef at this facility. Also featured are a rare river otter family and a shark “touch tank” where children can get a feel for this fascnating creature. The aquarium is located on Corpus Christi Beach, across the channel from the Bayfront Arts and Science Park and next to the USS

"Great Aquarium for Little Ones"

We have been to this aquarium multiple times.  The aquarium is located next to the USS Lexington (better for kids over 5) so there are other activities in the area as well.  Our kids love this place!  They are completely mesmerized by every exhibit.  It is a small aquarium but you are able to get very close to everything.  Our children especially enjoy the sharks, jelly fish and otters.  It was nice to have an activity other than swimming at the coast!  The dolphin show is great too.  Seating is very close to the exhibit. so you feel like you are part of the show.
There are plenty of restaurants and other things to do in the area too so if you finish with the aquarium early you will still have other things to explore.

"Better than the Zoo"

The aquarium has lots of interesting wildlife on display.  The kids liked the dolphin show which you can view from above or below.  There is a viewing room under the auditorium where you can watch the dolphins swim.  I thought the interactive area for petting the sting rays was interesting.  Normally you should not touch a sting ray but these have their stingers clipped.  The aquarium also has a bird of prey show, a demonstration time where the staff feed the otters and a big alligator.  We were lucky to come on the day when the alligator gets fed and he eats a lot of meat!  There are also sharks, turtles, sea horses and lots of colorful fish to see.
