"hammock time"

We slung our hammock between two trees near this lake and enjoyed the absolute beauty.  Bring a picnic and swimming clothes.  Despite the cold water, you will want to brag that you swam in this gorgeous alpine lake.  Don't just stop to enjoy the view, this is a place to soak it all in and stay a while.

"Easy access, perfect for families"

Tenaya Lake is right off Hwy 120 in Yosemite.  Just pull over and you're right there.  The views are stunning.  With a large beach and shallow waters, this a wonderful place to spend the day with children and enjoy the amazing surroundings.  Unfortunately, when we discovered it, we were on our way home and couldn't stay for long, but the kids really loved it here and if we had known better, we'd have packed a picnic and just hung out here for a 4-5 hours.

"It has a beach!!!"

This lake is gorgeous!!  It's a short drive from the campground, but totally worth it.  It has a big sandy beach area and the water is very clear.  A little chilly, but the kids still got in.  Beautiful view all the way around.  Kids LOVED it!!  Lots of room to spread out, picnic, explore, and just relax.
