"Excellent holiday place!"

We drove from oregon to Nevada and when we enter into this area we wanted to sit and enjoy the location. Kids run around play .The trail is mostly hard packed and easily strollerable. Breathtaking views abound,  the views were spectacular. very relaxing holiday.

"Great trail, great meadow views"

This is an easy, mostly level trail through an alpine meadow. The trail is mostly hard packed and easily strollerable. Breathtaking views abound, and this was in late August when most wildflowers were done. A creek meanders through the grounds and the path crosses it a few times; we saw a 6-inch trout lingering in the shadows. The trail goes through broad meadow and shady pine forest in view of glacial rocks. In spite of not having a view of Lake Tahoe except from the parking area, the views were spectacular. I could not put my camera down.

Dogs permitted on leash. No trash service - carry in, carry out. There are rest rooms on site.
