If you are going to play in the snow, throw snow balls or send your five year old down the sledding hill, its a nice place. They have a couple of picnic tables, an outdoor fire pit and a snack bar. However, the sledding hill is too tame for adults and older kids. Didn't get to try the tubing lane because it was closed.
This is a great spot for families to enjoy sledding. We've gone a dozen times or so, rarely is the wait longer than a handful of minutes on the innertubes (even shorter on the sled hills.) They've carved out fun courses for the innertubes, you choose whether or not to spin, and you can go alone or doubles with another friend/tube. The sled hills are a blast, we've had races in the parallel courses too.
If you have an 11am checkout and I-80 is temporarily closed, this is a great spot to kill a few hours too.
