This ropes course for kids (only the summer time) and bungy trampoline experience is located conveniently in the village of Northstar-at-Tahoe.  Kids are challenged to use their balance and strength to get through a ropes course that is harder than it looks.  It's best for kids between 5 and 15.
Anyone can try bungy trampoline.  Get strapped into a harness and start jumping higher than you have ever jumped before.  You can also do flips if you like.

"So much more fun than you'd think"

This is a great way to spend half an hour with your kids while at Northstar-at-Tahoe.  The Apex ropes course was the perfect difficulty for our 6 year old.  He had been apprehensive about the idea of a ropes course, but the colorful ropes were just too inviting.  Before we knew it, he was strapped into his safety harness and climbing up the course.  Even though he's only about 42" tall, he was able to reach the ropes with some difficulty.  But that's the point, right - getting him to reach, stretch and engage all those little muscles?  For older kids or those who have done the course before, you don't have to dismiss this little ropes course so quickly.  There are variations like going backwards and believe it or not, doing it blind folded that make the course more challenging.  Or you can try to walk the tight rope without holding on.  My husband tried...but he's no circus acrobat.  The ropes course isn't too high off the ground (about 8 ft).   This allows parents to easily stand nearby to offer encouragement and to cheer their child on.  At the end, our son just couldn't get enough.  He wanted to start all over again.  No wonder Apex sells tickets in packets of 10 at a discounted price of $100 for the set.

We also enjoyed the bungy trampoline.  Our 3 year old was willing to get strapped into the harness, but didn't want to jump.  Later we found out that he was protesting not because he was scared, but because he was barefooted and the black trampoline was too hot on his little feet.  Oh well,  next time, we'll remember to bring socks.  The rest of us had a fun time jumping higher than we've ever jumped and trying to do somersaults that we've never been able to do on our own. I seriously thought I as going to be the next Nadia when I was little.  It was actually a good workout even jumping for just 5 minutes.  I was surprised at how thrilling it felt to fly up so high on a trampoline. There are three trampolines, so if you have a group, you can all jump together at the same time.  This was a surprisingly fun experience.
