The Swaner Eco-Center sits on a beautiful 1,200 acre open space along I-80 and Highway 224. The Eco-Center, one of the "greenest" buildings in Utah, offers hands-on exhibits for children of all ages. There are over ten miles of trails that you can explore on foot, bring your bikes or even alpine ski in the winter.
For an additional fee and advance registration, there are a variety of youth and adult programs. The EcoCenter is designed to inspire a deep respect for the natural world.
My preschooler absolutely loved visiting the Swaner Eco-Center! The hands-on exhibits allow visitors to get an education while being engaged and entertained at your own pace. The interactive climbing wall is a must see activity. My preschooler came back from vacation and told all of her friends about her environmental adventures at the Eco-Center. I liked the display which illustrated how the scenery changes throughout the seasons. You and your family will leave the Eco-Center feeling a bit more connected to nature and eager to do your part to keep it pristine.
