50 acre working farm with hay wagons, carriages, petting zoo and ponies.
Open to the public every Saturday (May through November) and Sunday (Sept. and Oct. only) 10-3
My two boys, aged 1 and 3, had a great birthday party here with their friends. We got to hunt for eggs, pet animals, ride the horse, jump on the trampoline, and ride around on the little vehicles. A great way to spend a summer day. A good time was had by all!
Sunflower Farm is high on the list of fall activities for our family of five. We go every year with our playgroup, and the kids just can't get enough. (Neither can the adults!) Our girls love the tire swing, the zipline, the campfire, the animals, and the tree fort. Our kids always want to stay longer, and they talk about it throughout the year. Sunflower Farm is so refreshing and a welcome break from spending our days in town. Two thumbs up from everyone in our family!
Visiting Sunflower Farms is like a complete country experience. it's so easy to sit and relax in a hammock or chair while the kids play with a myriad of different things. It feels like one of the few places where the kids can be really free to be kids. Tree houses, jumping and rolling in the corn, pony rides, sand boxes and so much more make this place one of my favorite destinations. I hear they also have fall days with a bonfire. I haven't tried that out yet but can't wait to!
