Sullivans Island Beach

"One of the best family beaches in SC"

Sullivans Island is probably my favorite beach in SC. You won't find touristy shops here, but instead beautiful wide beaches. There are a few restaurants, Sullivans being one of our favorites for simple seafood fare. The homes on Sullivans are old and beautiful with wide screened porches. You won't find the towering beach front homes that are competing with one another, but instead graceful homes that make you long to take a peek inside. There aren't rentals on Sullivans (unless you're lucky), these homes are occupied by real families who live here year round. And so, when you trek out to the beach, you'll find families enjoying the beach with their kids. There aren't lifeguards but you will occasionally find a policeman riding down the beach in a four-wheel drive golf cart. Take the kids and experience a relaxing day.
