The Sugar Mill Botanical Gardens are abslutely beautiful. This a perfect outdoor activity for the enitire family to enjoy. This acitivity does require quite a bit of walking and it is usually quite hot out, so you'll want to make sure to dress yourself and your children accordingly. Other than that, it was a wonderful experience and something spectacular to look at.
Remnants of Florida’s sugar days persist despite the ravages of war and the elements. Twelve acres of peaceful gardens enshrine two distinctly different eras of Florida history. The site originally processed sugar, and several ruins remember the era. Forty years ago, it was turned into Bongoland, a theme park now extinct, although dinosaur statues remain. Throw in botanical gardens, and you have an offbeat attraction with enough variety for everyone in the family.
