Your first step onto the Stourbridge Line takes you back into history - you board this passenger train on the site of the Delaware & Hudson Canal Company's boat basin. From this terminus, anthracite coal - brought to the basin by the D&H's gravity railroad from Carbondale and the Lackawanna Valley - made its 108-mile journey from northeastern Pennsylvania to New York City. Take a ride on this historical line from Honesdale to Lackawaxen.

I can't believe someone left 5 star review. If I could give zero, I would do so. The train was old, dirty, out of functions. And the view, actually there was no view, was bad. We drove hours there for the Fall Foliage, and on their website, they said it's 41/2 hrs round trip, but we only saw abandoned construction sites, and the train only run less than 3 hrs round trip, we had to stay in a middle of nowhere, except a shop for cheap hot-dog with awful smell, and a most dirty restroom I have ever seen for almost 2 hrs.
The Stourbridge Line Rail Excursions run on weekends in summer and for special occasions at other times. The excursions follow the Lackawaxen River to Hawley and Lackawaxen. Different themes include fall foliage tours, dinner-theater tours, the Great Train Robbery Run, the Halloween Fun Run, the Easter Bunny Run, and the Santa Express.
The Wayne County Visitor Center, at the same address, houses a number of railroad exhibits and there’s a gift shop featuring railroad souvenirs.
