"Fun with the Family"

After the hubbub of the active campus, this is a great place to come and wind down. Administered by Penn State, the Stone Valley Recreation Area has a wide variety of activities for all ages. Depending on the season you can enjoy boating (canoes, rowboats, or sailboats—all of which are available for rent), fishing (trout and bass), hayrides, hiking, ice-skating (rentals available), sledding, ice fishing, or cross-country skiing (lessons available). There are eleven wheelchair-accessible cabins for overnight accommodations. The one-room cabins are equipped with bunk beds, refrigerator, electric range top, electricity, and gas heat. There are central bathroom and shower facilities nearby. Bring your own linens and cooking and eating utensils. Call for rates and reservations.
