Steel Lake Park
add photosCommunity Park; children's playstructure, sand volleyball pit, 5 picnic areas, swimming, beach, restroom and concession building. Open lawn areas, 100 parking stalls, horseshoe pits across the street. There is a small boat launch at the park. Motorized watercraft are not allowed on the lake. Canoes, row boats and paddle boats are allowed. Fishing is permitted from the last day in April thru October 31.
Lifeguard Hours during Summer:
Monday Thru Thursday 1:00pm-6:00pm, Friday 1:00pm-7:00pm, Saturday and Sunday 12:00pm-7:00pm

"Playground, Swimming and Fishing"
Huge park in Federal Way that is very popular in the summer. Many people have family picnics, swim and fish. I find it to crowded for me on the weekends and the bathrooms can be absolutely disgusting. The kids love wading and swimming in the water. The playground is designed for children ages 6 and above and it is nothing special. Canoes and paddle boats are allowed on the lake...no power boats.
