"Majestic!"

The Statue of Liberty is definitely a must-see on your trip to New York.  It is even more majestic in real life!  We took a ferry out to the island so that we could see it up close.  Even though it has turned green with age, when you see it up close, there is still a coppery shimmer in some places.  It is so beautiful!  If you don't have time to walk around the island, you can take the Staten Island Ferry, which will take you right past the statue.

"a must go place in New York city"

Well, this place is obviously such a famous place to visit. It's a great place for both adults and kids to visit, since in my point of view, it represents the spirit of America. We enjoyed taking the ferry there as well as climbing up to the base of the statue. Unfortunately, we could not make it to the crown because of the security reason. Also, the price of ticket is cheap :)

Here are some tips:
1. Try to get there early, around 8-8:30 AM in the morning, so you don't have to wait in the lines. Otherwise, it will take forerver.
2. Take pictures of the Statue both in the ferry and on the island.
3. I think going there in the winter is more beautiful.

"The Climb is Worth it"

Our family of four visited the Statue of Liberty a few years ago. You could only climb the stairs up so far, but it was worth it. There were pictures available showing the progress of the reconstruction. It was very interesting. We live in Florida now, but if we had the opportunity, we would visit it again. I would recommend this historic place to tourists and residents, especially if you have children.

"Great Historic Place! "

Sometime in your life your definitely going to want to go to the statue of liberty. My family just rode the ferry over and took pictures and stuff because we didn't have time to go up in it. I would have loved to. I would suggest waiting until your children are at least 8 or 10 so they can recognize the greatness of it. It's an amazing experience! =)

"The best part of NY-Lady Liberty!"

Our favorite part of New York City, as a family would most definitely have to be seeing The Statue Of Liberty! It's such an amazing & beautiful experience and the kids not only enjoyed it but I felt that they really appreciated such great scenery & history! If you're planning on going to NY, definitely make this a stop, you won't regret it!

"must see"

Definitely a must see when you visit new york.  This is an awesome place to go.  The view is really nice.  You can take a ferry over to liberty island where you can walk around and see the statue up very close.  The fee is not that expensive either.  The kids can also enjoy this great venture.  There is also a free ferry over to statin island that you can take and it will drive right by the statue if you prefer.

"A MUST"

Take the sailboat ride around the bay. It's a great trip and not too expensive. It doesn't stop at Ellis Island but it's a more breathtaking trip. I did both. I took the boat over to the Island, because yeah, you have to. And you have to walk all around and take every photo possible because really, when will you be back. It's really quite breathtaking. All ages will enjoy the boat ride. Make sure that you hold on to your little ones if you ride up top. Ages 7 and up will really appreciate the history behind this, however, the boat ride, the water and picnicing are appealing to younger children.

"Fun and Educational"

The Statue of Liberty offers fun for just about every age group, including adults.  There's something for everyone, from walking upthe endless stairs (burning off excess energy is always a good idea) to the interactive and educational tidbits.  This is a must if you're in New York.

"Statue of Liberty"

This is  a must whenever you make a trip to New York. We rode the boat from the Jersey side. It was a really nice boat ride. We were able to see the Statue from all different angles. I have to say I had envisioned it to be a lot bigger than it really was. I think I could have stayed all day looking at it but with kids that was impossible. I wish we would have planned ahead and booked the tickets further out. I did not realize how far in advance you had to get the tickets for the inside. We will know that for next time. My kids loved the statue. Before we left, we visited the gift shop where my kids brought home a mini version of the statue

"Lady Liberty"

An icon, of course... there is no reason NOT to visit the Statue of Liberty.  I have the advantage of being able to see her in all her glorious beauty whenever I take the ferry from Staten Island into the city (which isn't often, but still).  She is beautiful and picture-worthy and a fantastic piece of history.

"Great to see in person!"

We took a trip to Ellis Island when I was in 5th grade.  For part of it we took the ferry to see the statue of liberty.  This is what I remember most from that trip.  I was really excited to see the statue of liberty for the first time!  I took many pictures to make it a memorable moment.

"One of My Favorites!"

The Statue of Liberty is absolutely one of my favorite sites I saw when I visited NYC. It is really incredible to see Lady Liberty in person. (Not to mention the boat ride to get to the island she sits on is pretty fun, too!) Unfortunately, we weren't able to go up into the crown. If/when I ever go back, this will absolutely be a must-see on my list of stops. Again. It really is that important to go visit!

"Journey to Lady Liberty"

NY is well known for Time Center and shopping, but the Statue of Liberty is truly a must see. It is the landmark of our country and even young kids should be able to experience and see it.

Though you can go inside, we opted not to. The lines were outrageous but that is everywhere you go, just think DC, Disney land, any large tourist attraction really.

Either way we took lovely pictures of not only the statue but of Ellis Island and little things we saw on the boat ride to the statue. It is one thing to see it on tv but it is something entirely different when you are up close and personal. Take your kids! They'll learn a lot and will surely remember that trip.

"Classic "

When visiting the city with our kids we stop at the Statue of Liberty or ride the ferry past it. You can get off the ferry and walk around the Statue of Liberty and choose to enter or not. Last time we were there it was cold and my kids enjoyed playing in the snow. Even if you don't get off the ferry you should ride one to see her up close.

"Statue of Liberty"

I was really excited to see the Statue of LIberty, but after waiting in line for THREE hours, I was tired and the whole trip didn't seem worth it.  I think I would have been satisfied viewing it from across the island.  It really is an amazing piece of American history, but up close is just as good as seeing it from a distance.  We were not able to go up in the statue, so I can't say anything about that.  The gift shop was large and had a nice cafeteria.  Of course everything is expensive, but that is to be expected.  The park (Battery, I believe) where you stand in line is not super nice, but had entertainers and things going on that was kind of fun.

What an educational trip for all!! The ride out on the ferry is fun for starters. The walk around the base of the statue is breathtaking! The view of NYC from the island is also spectacular! There is a lot of educational reading to be done around the base, the gift shop has lots to offer with a variety of price tags and a trip up the statue is magnificent too! A definite must while visiting NYC.

"A Must See in NYC!!!"

I've lived in or right around NYC for my entire life and never once did I get to experience the Statue of Liberty until just a few years ago. This, I must say, is something you HAVE TO DO when you're in the city. it is truly amazing, I'm still speechless just thinking about it. I was so happy that the crown was open and so were my kids, and even though there were a ton of stairs to climb, it was completely worth it, as we felt like we'd accomplished something huge once we reached the top.

"Lady Liberty is a must!"

We had a great time on the ferry and visiting the statue--and we rode the ferry in from New Jersey and the lines weren't bad at all! We also chose not to stand in line to go up into the statue, but rather walked around the outside of the platform, took some pics, and said our goodbyes to the Lady.
