The museum is open to the public for tours at 1:30 p.m. the first and third Sunday of each month. The tours take 2 - 3 hours. Suggested donation is five dollars for adults and one dollar for children. Special tours can be arranged during the week for eight or more.

"Disney history is here"

We stumbled on this little piece of history while looking for Walt Disney's first "studio".  The little garage that used to be in his uncle's backyard in Los Angeles has been preserved here in Garden Grove.  To see the inside, we will have to come back for a tour some Sunday.  But on the day we visited we quietly walked the grounds and saw the old houses and structures from the 1800's.

To visit these homes and Disney's garage, come on Sunday for a tour (see hours for details).  The grounds are stroller friendly but I don't know if the tour is kid friendly or not.
