Its my feelings now that, you've seen one alligator, you've seen them all. While the park was clean, it was hard to feel at ease when you are surrounded by literally hundreds of alligators at once. Plus, I generally prefer to watch idiots wrestle alligators from the comfort of my living room rather than live in front of a large audience.
I was a little skeptical of visiting the Alligator Farm when we were in St. Augustine. But as it was included in a pass that we purchased we decided to check it out.
I was amazed! This is so much more than a "farm!" We loved seeing the different types of alligators, crocodiles, and tortoises on display and learning all about them. Who knew there was such variety?
In addition to all the zoo features, the swamp section was just astounding. An elevated boardwalk leads you over a huge boggy area filled with native plants, trees, birds, and...you guessed it - Alligators! TONS of them!
All of us, children and adults really enjoyed our trip.
It was neat to see the different types of reptiles at the Alligator Farm. I had never seen a white alligator before. The shows were nice too. Hearing the sound of the alligator jumping out of the water to grab the meat was a sound hard to forget. It was cool to watch!
This a a wonderful place for visiting with friends and family. Your kids will love the place, especially the crocodile farm especially the white croco)and the show is just WOW! plan to spend have of the day walking and taking pictures of crocs and visiting the museum that will give lots of info and interesting facts. we love this place and go there every summer. Don't forget to check out the local cuisine which is fool of fish and sea creatures.

This a one of the famous attraction in st augustine. They have loads of alligators and many varieties .Specially the white gator attracts many.
Birds of Africa.Exotic birds and mammals, fossil exhibit, komodo dragon to keep u busy all day.Kids would love wildlife shows.Their website has kids zone with games, puzzles, coloring pages, adventure stories.they are open everyday from 9 to 5.And in summer 9 to 6.
The Alligator Farm is pretty cool. However, it is pretty expensive to get in. I would only recommend going here if you can get a deal on addmission. I've seen Groupons and such offering half off addmission. There are lots of different types of Alligators that I didn't even know existed. The kids can feed the animals off the dock. The staff gets close to the Alligators while feeding, which is kinda cool, yet scary. Fun once, but I probably won't go back again!
We visited the Alligator Farm with our children (ages 8 and 5) while visiting famiy in Jacksonville, FL last summer. The Alligator Farm is so cool! They have all kinds of Alligators that we didn't even know existed (Albino Alligators). While we were there we were lucky enough to watch the zookeepers get in the arena with the alligators to feed them. The children loved the feeding off the dock. Adults and children will enjoy this different type museum!
We went with our family from Texas and California. 7 (my child and my nieces and nephews) kids ranged in age from 2 years to 16 years. The kids under 10 seemed to really enjoy it. They loved the feeding off the dock. The older kids tried to keep their cool, but considering they have little experience with gators, were very impressed. It's a great little place to take out of town guests for a few hours. Definitely don't plan on spending your entire day there.
I took my family to the alligator farm...it was ok, but I will not go there again for a couple of years. Since the majority of the animals did not move, my daughter could not see them. She did like the little playground that they have for the kids. I liked seeing the feeding of the alligators.
My daughter LOVED this place! She is addicted to Jon and Kate plus 8 so she loved pointing out the 'aldergaters' (one of the kids on the show calls them that). Her brother and I just loved seeing all of the reptiles. I have an absolutely priceless photo of my daughter's head inside a fake alligator from this trip!
One of St. Augustine’s most popular kid attractions concentrates on reptiles rather than reenactments. Like many places in St. Augustine, it is designated the oldest of its kind in America (opened 1893). It is as much about crocodiles as it is about gators. If you don’t know the difference now, you will after your visit. The farm represents the world’s only complete collection of crocodilians (which include alligators, crocodiles, caimans, and gavials—twenty-three species in all) from around the world. Monkeys, birds, and snakes also share the park. Entertaining wildlife shows educate your family about crocodilians and other reptiles—no gator wrestling here.
