This ride is great for kids. My 4-year-old loved to press up against the glass and look down. We visited the ski resort on a day that was slow so we had the gondola all to ourselves. We rode it back and forth a few times in a row (at my son's request of course).
I think it's important to note that the Funitel is different from the tram. The Aerial Tram runs in the summer and takes you to High Camp.
There are no sightseeing rides available on the Funitel. It is for skiers and snowboarders only. So, the cost to ride is the cost of a lift ticket. The tram, however, is open for sightseeing trips and will cost you only $32 per person! A child's tram ticket is $10. All tram tickets are good for one ride up and one ride down.
The Funitel is a 28-person gondola and at the top is a welcoming space at the Gold Coast Complex with lockers, restrooms, and a ski-up coffee shop.
