"Horribly managed!"

I went there twice this Summer.  The first time, we were kicked out because of a thunder storm - understandable - however, they were scattered storms - which begs the question, "What is the policy for when they close for good or when they close for an hour or so?"  I got my answer the second time I went - to use my rain checks.  Saturday of Labor Day weekend....opened at 12:00. Got there at 12:30, and saw the manager shoo-ing away the guards who were all standing outside waiting for their rides.  Yep, closed already for the DAY!  Was there thunder or lightening you ask?  NO!  Was there some passing showers? A couple - but you could see the clearing in the sky coming and it was projected to be sunny and in the 90's - which it was....about 30 minutes later.  The place Sucks.  Mr. Onesinger needs to lose his job!!!

"Great Summer Activity"

My family has been visiting Splashdown at least once a summer for the past four years.  My firstgrader loves all of the slides and activities and my toddler has enjoyed the lazy river since he was just a few months old.  This is a great place to spend a day or afternoon with younger kids.

"Fun with the Family"

Cool off during Virginia’s hot summers at this large water park. At this thirteen-acre facility, you can float down the lazy river on tubes, twist down slippery slides, and swim in a giant pool. Little ones have their own area, Sandcastle Kid’s Club, with child-size slides, climbing equipment, and a kiddie pool.
