It holds forth in a historic railroad depot. Displays take you back to the days of the prehistoric Calusa Indians with scale models, vignettes, graphic depictions, and historical IQ games. Outdoors, you can tour an early-1900s replica of a local Cracker house and the world’s last and longest Pullman private railcar, circa 1930. Children will enjoy the hands-on switchboard and locomotive cab, the climb-aboard fire truck, and the baseball room.
