Rent One Park is the home of the Southern Illinois Miners, a professional baseball team playing in the Frontier League. The stadium is located at the intersection of I-57 and route 13 in Marion, Illinois.
We have been to watch the MIners and frequently see the Grizzly's play outside of St. Louis. I'm not even a big sports fan, but you can actually see the game up close so seating is great. And for the money they always have great kids activities and good food all at a very reasonable price.
Rent One Park (named after the rent-to-own business that paid for naming rights through 2016), home of the Southern Illinois Miners minor-league baseball team, opened in 2007 not far from the Illinois Centre Mall. The 4,000-seat stadium has a wide, open concourse and an upper deck with 14 enclosed skybox style suites, plus a lawn section for those who prefer to bring a blanket and sit on the grass.
In recognition of the region’s heritage as coal-mining country, the team mascot is a beefy miner wielding a pickax. The Miners belong to the 12-team Frontier League that also includes the Rockford River Hawks and the Windy City Thunderbolts. If the kids get restless with the game, they can check out the Funzone play area on the left-field side, but be aware there’s a $5 admission charge.
