The Southeast Alaska Discovery Center is a full-scale museum of Southeast Alaskan wildlife, eco-systems, and history in Ketchikan, Alaska.
We found we could tour this museum in just over an hour, and the exhibits are very well done. We could 'tour' through various eco-systems in SE, such as the rain forest, intertidal zone, etc. There are exhibits on native cultures and the fishing industry, and plenty to learn about local wildlife. There's a well-done video that takes about 25 minutes. This museum isn't huge, but for the low admission price, it's definitely worth a visit.
