"train exploration"

My boys loved running around the grounds of this railroad depot.  The red caboose was especially fun to climb up on and explore.  They pretended to be train engineers and conductors.  The railroad lines laid on the ground also provided exploration opportunities.  The museum and gift shop themselves provided great information and model trains to inspect.

"Fun with the Family"

Budding conductors and engineers will want to explore the wooden Goleta depot. Built in 1901, the depot was in use until 1973, when it was dismantled and moved to its current site. Restoration began in 1981, and the collection of railroad memorabilia continues to grow.
