"Sonnenberg Mansion & Gardens"

This place is beautiful.  It's stunning almost every where you look and the awe-inspiring imagery of the locale really get the imagination flowing if you're an artist or writer.  There are so many gardens to explore that you truly need a full day to come and look around, so choose a fair weather day without massively bright sun, especially if you want to take pictures.  The only thing that would make this place better would be drinking fountains placed around the gardens.  There are some at the carriage house that looks like a little castle, but that's the only place.  There are also vending machines within that building, but you'll want water before you get there.

"Peaceful and fun to explore"

This is a nice place just to come and walk around.  The kids love looking at the different gardens, but their favorite is touring the mansion.  There are so many rooms for them to explore...they are in their glory!  It is actually a very kid friendly place, and they have a tram that gets you around (in case you don't want to make the walk to or from the mansion with the kids)

"Fun with the Family"

Perhaps the finest Victorian gardens in America are here, spread over fifty lush acres and landscaped in a variety of themes. Nine different styles of horticultural artistry can be explored on a self-guided tour of the Japanese, Italian, Colonial, Rose, and Rock Gardens. There’s also a thirteen-room conservatory, Butterfly House, a very long greenhouse to stroll through, and the ornately furnished 1887 stone mansion.
