Ok, so if you're a championship skier, you won't last long at Skytop's small ski slopes, but for the beginner, the person who hasn't put on skis in awhile or for children, this place is ideal. Rentals are available or you can bring your own equipment and then feel free to coast down the mountain. It boasts a drop of 300 feet, with 2 trails. It's the perfect opportunity to work on your skills or just have a little fun. One thing that does take some getting used to is the towrope. Most members of my family fell trying to get the hang of it, but all it takes is a few tries and you're home free. The staff here was very helpful and one gentleman even walked partway up the hill to assist my 6-year-old. Snow is made here if needed and there are other great winter sports to take advantage of as well. Don't expect black diamond trails, but enjoy the chance to get a quick run in or share some memories with a skier who's just starting out. It's fun and it's easygoing - sometimes that's all you need for an enjoyable outing on a winter's day!
