While I agree with the other reviewer's observations that looking at the old machinery throughout the building is really neat, the cleanliness and accessibility of this place makes it less than desirable. The food court is probably the worst place in the entire complex. It is just gross, now I understand it is old and they are working on renovating, but yuck. The worth part is, there aren't a lot of food options in this area. On a more positive note, this is one of the better movie theaters on the island to take kids to. The theaters generally are empty for most earlier shows and seem to carry a wide selection, including most of the kids movies. Right outside the doors are two fun places to take kids, a teacher's store and a game center.
Heading west out of downtown, you’ll soon run into the shops at Dole Cannery, constructed around the canning factory of Hawaii’s most famous fruit. The cannery has been converted into a retail center and food court. It’s fun to walk around the complex and view the antiquated machinery that’s still in place. It’s an unofficial museum of Hawaii’s pineapple industry.
