I've been going here since I was a kid and now my kids love it too. The steep slides are still king, but there is a kiddyland as well. Have fun in the tube rides and the pirate ship with your kids. When the day is done, the public beach is just around the corner.
This is one of the best water parks for little kids that ive ever been to. we always go when we vacation to panama city beach in the summer. they have lots of funthings for little kids as well as some really fun and big water slides for the adults. It costs about $30 per person but there are some coupons out there that will make it a little cheaper. It is definitely worth the money!
We met some out of state friends at Shipwreck Island on a Sunday at the beginning of August. I am not a big fan of water parks because they are extremely expensive and usually so hot and crowded that it's miserable to be there. I was pleasantly surprised by how much fun I had here. The weather was perfect and the park was not at all crowded. There were very few long lines, and there were a lot of different rides. The only drawback is the price. This was extremely expensive for my family of 3. If money is not an object, I highly recommend it.
This attraction offers rides the likes of Tadpole Hole, Elephant Slide (all for tot-types),and the thrilling Raging Rapids, Pirate’s Plunge, and the six-story White Knuckle River tube ride. Lifeguards supervise. No food or coolers can be brought into the park.
Shipwreck Island has tons to offer both the locals and the vacationers. It is a small water park that has several water slides and rides. The Tree Top Drop and Pirate Plunge speed slides are great for your 48 inch and taller children. The toddlers will love playing at the Skull Island. The Lazy River ride is a perfect way to watch the action…grab a tube and close your eyes…you can almost pretend you are floating past an island in Hawaii…at least until your kids scream your name! The Wave Pool is also a favorite and one of the largest of its kind in Florida. The place can get very crowded in the summertime, so be ready to wait in some lines. The park is a little pricey, but children under 35 inches get in free! This is a good thing since you will be spending your saved money on food because you can not bring food or beverages into the park.
