The best aspect of this park is the large grassy area which can be used for impromptu sports games, but this sometimes seems to be happening too much. Another great feature of this park is the beach is right there, and there are some nice shallow river inlets that allow younger kids to enjoy the water if there's fear of the ocean itself.
This park really has it all. A large lawn area which is perfect for soccer matches, a pool (haven't swam there though), a play structure with swings (including child swings) and the beach! The park is sheltered from the beach winds, which can be cold you know, by a fence and a row of trees. The beach itself is very nice but has a rough break so water play for little ones can be dangerous. There is a creek that flows into the ocean a hundred yards to the north where little ones are much safer. This beach is notable for collecting very pretty little rocks which can keep kids occupied for hours.
