Two beautiful hikes up to the waterfall. Great picnic areas just outside of the falls in city park. In the summer there are Native American Dancers to watch before or after the hike.
We enjoyed the views at Seven Falls, and it was fine to climb the many many stairs to get a closer look. However, I'm not sure I would pay the admission price to visit again. We went because we had family from out of town visiting us, and it was very pretty, just think it ought to be something that can be visited for free. There was a native american dance at the base of the falls that the kids really enjoyed, but I'm not sure how often those go on.
I thought Seven falls was great but like another person commented its a one time splurge. We spent $9 per adult and it looks like it already went up since last fall so its $9.25. Children are 5.75 and 5 and under are free but I would not want to carry my young child up the stairs to the waterfall. There is an elevator to look from afar but you have to climb the stairs to get the best view. This is not an all day adventure either, typical gift shop with stuffed animals and 'junk' that kids just got to have. It is beautiful but there are better attractions for kids.
This is a really fun place to see some beautiful waterfalls. I would however say that it is quite pricey so make sure you go when you really want to see everything. It is also much more fun and exciting at night when the waterfalls are put to lights. The drive is not to bad from Denver, just make sure to bundle up!
This is a beautiful area. It is overpriced. Ridiculous. The falls are beautiful, and there is a great, short hike that is kid friendly. It offers you great views of the mountains, the falls, etc.., but really do you have to charge that much? Super family friendly location!!
This waterfall is really pretty and fun to explore. The downside is that it is really pricey. I would recommend finding a local trail that you can hike. There are many that overlook the falls so that you can see them for free instead of paying a lot, plus its a fun work out.
This is a wonderful place no matter what but at night it's AMAZING! The falls light up and it's spectacular to watch. The authentic Indian dancers are wonderful as well. Fun entertainment for the whole family. You won't find something like this anywhere else in Colorado.
I wish I could have gone at night because I hear it is so much more spectacular, but even during the day it is so awesome! Lots of stairs so beware of that. Neat little gift shop to shop around in. Absolutely gorgeous views when you get to the top though. Like I said, beware of the tons of stairs to walk up. Not stroller friendly for sure.
Our family loved going to Seven Falls in Colorado Springs. Admission is $9, which was a little pricey in my opinion. But you are allowed re-entry, which is nice. We went at night when the falls were all lit up, very impressive. Lots of walking and stairs, but well worth the views!
This hike is probably worth doing once with a coupon, in the late afternoon and evening, in order to see the falls all lit up. It just seems a little expensive for a hike. It is very pretty, especially at night, and in the winter with the ice reflecting the lights. There are sometimes Native American dancers as well as some exhibits about local wildlife. Overall, not bad, but not something we'd pay to do very often.
