This theater is one of the top notch theaters in the OC. Every seat is a good seat and the variety of plays and shows that go on there means there will always be something on to please someone! Not as dressy as I thought, I went there done up to the nines, and realized I was the only one. But still a blast.
The performaces are always wonderful and beautiful!! I took my 5 year old daughter to see Fiddler on The Roof last year and she did pretty well sitting through the whole play. But, you really have to know your child and know if the play is good for a child. People do not appreiciate having a toddler/child crying, yelling, or talking during the performace. Most plays are not for young children and I would never take my son to see a play unless it was a play for children.
Opened in 1986, the 3,000-seat Segerstrom Hall is where major symphony concerts, operas, ballets, and Broadway musicals are presented year-round. Children’s prgrams dominate around the Christmas holidays. Call for a schedule of free backstage tours.
