The museum is closed on Tuesdays in January and February.
The Second Bank of the United States and Carpenters’ Hall, where the First Continental Congress met in 1774, are worth noting. Perhaps with kids you’d like to see the exterior only. Today Carpenters’ Hall displays early carpenter’s tools and chairs. The Second Bank houses the park’s portrait gallery, featuring portraits of many Revolutionary War heroes.
This is worth a walk-through on your history tour; instead of a park ranger, it has a costumed interpreter (it's privately owned). It's basically one big room where the First Continental Congress took place. So, another piece of history, but it probably won't mean a lot to young kids.
