Seattle Tree Lighting Celebration and Holiday Parade
add photosNovember 27, 2009 this year will feature a full day of holiday fun! Begin the day at 8:45am with the Holiday Parade and commence the day at 5pm with the traditional tree lighting at Westlake Center. The tree lighting will feature fireworks at the end to highlight the event!
In 2009 the Holiday Parade commences on 7th Avenue at 8.45am, marching down Pine Street and University Street before heading north to Macy's for the official Tree Lighting Celebration and lighting of Macy's star at 5pm.

"Family Tradition"
We are making this our family tradition. The day after Thanksgiving we head north to Down Town Seattle and enjoy the crowds. Grab yourself a cup of hot cocoa or coffee and enjoy the tree lighting and fire works. It's best to leave your strollers at home unless you don't mind navigating in dense crowds or hang out alongside the crowds. I carried my 2 year old in a back pack. He loved it.
