These half-hour cruises technically are narrated, but it’s hard to hear the guide over the noise of the twin 12-cylinder diesel engines. Bathing suits are welcome, although you are advised to bring a sweatshirt or jacket in case of cool lake air, and you may very well get wet, especially if you’re seated near the outside. The 70-foot boat can carry up to 149 passengers and reach a top speed of 45 mph, which is a pretty good clip when skimming across the water.
