This is a nice little amusement and water park. There is a wave pool that is always a hit and lots of water activities for all ages. They have rollercoasters, bumper cars, tea cups, swings, and all the regular amusement park type rides. It's nice because if you have preschoolers, there are plently of rides for the little ones too. Lots of games to play and places to get a bite to eat. I have found that it's better to get there early when they open if you want to stake out some seats by the water. They fill up quickly. They also have a gift shop with things you may need that you forgot such as sun screen, sunglasses/hat, bathing suits, etc. Also there are lockers you can rent to put your things in while you play. But they really aren't that big. Just enough room for suits/towels, a purse, snacks, that sort of thing.
I grew up going to Seabreeze with family, school trips, etc. Not much has changed over the years, but they have raised their prices considerably. It's definitely not worth the price of admission, and we only go when we can get $5 tickets through my husband's work.
If you don't want to go to the water park, then you can plan half a day there as opposed to a full day. We were able to go from end to end of the park about three times, and we went on every ride at least once.
The one good thing is that most of the adult rides have a minimum height restriction of 48 inches, and therefore my 7 year old was able to go on everything. Some of the adult rides have a minimum height of 36 inches, and so my other two were able to go on a decent amount of rides provided my husband and I went on with them.
I would give Seabreeze a great review if it wasn't for the admission price. That is just unreal for what you get.
My family and I went this summer (2009) and we had a great time. You are allowed to bring your own coolers full of your favorite picnic items. There wasn't very much for our 1 year olds to do but everyone else had a lot of fun and can't wait to go back.
Opened in 1879, this is the fourth-oldest amusement park in America. Seventy-five rides are offered, including four roller coasters, and there are magic shows, video arcades, water slides, and a Looney Lagoon for the little ones.
