"SciPort is a hit for my 2 girls"
We lived in Shreveport for 3 years and visiting SciPort Science Museum was always a big hit for my two little girls (ages 3 and 4) and many of their friends. It is much more science based than most children's museums and has a lot of hands-on learning experience things for all ages. They frequently have little learning workshops about how electricity works etc. They have a GREAT IMAX theater too. And if you get hungry...go to the new Counter Culture cafe. YUM! Gotta try a Humphrey (frozen yogurt with fruit).

"Great place for kids"
This is a great place for younger kids. They have so much to do and see there. The employees are very knowledgeable and are very sweet. I took four kids there once and the lady asked them what they want to make. They immediately said playdoh so she let each of them make their own playdoh to take home. Its worth it to get their yearly pass because they have new things all the time.

"Educational and Fun for Everyone!"
This museum is for family members of all ages! Toddlers and young children enjoy a special play area with a playhouse, large foam blocks for building, pipes for "hooking up plumbing" to a real toilet, sink and bathtub, tunnels, and more! The rest of the museum offers intriguing exhibits that teach the application of the laws of science, such as laying on a bed of nails, controlling robots, weights on different planets, animal/water life, the mechanics of the human body, and MUCH more! There is a small cafe with food/drink available to purchase and parking is FREE! The Red River is located across the street with areas that could be used to picnic. Wrist bracelets given on admission allow for re-entry into the museum that day. It's a GREAT fun-filled family outing!

"science fun"
This is a great place to take the family for the day.
All ages can enjoy it!
they have a snack area where you can get a lunch and drinks -not a bad selection either! they do not take credit cards tho!
it is all hands on and the younger area is great - toddlers will enjoy it!! great time for all the family.also has an imax theatre but that is seperate price.
