"Fun AND educational!"
This is a great place to spend the day exploring – and at a VERY family friendly price tag! Last time we visited they charged $2/person (ages 2 and up) or $10 for the entire family (which is GREAT for large families like mine!). They have different exhibits geared for different age groups and they have really well trained and dedicated staff that can be found constantly throughout the building. Our favorite area is the “early childhood exploration area” – they are always bringing in new and exciting exhibits, so chance are you will encounter something new each time you visit. Definitely mark this down as a must-see location the next time you have a free day in Cedar Rapids, IA!

"Keep an eye open for its reopening"
The Science Station of a year ago was an excellent stop; we spent many fun hours there. Unfortunately, major flooding in Cedar Rapids in summer 2008 caused damage to the building, and the permanent location is closed until further notice. Watch their website, http://www.sciencestation.org, for details about temporary locations and eventual reopening, because this one's too good to miss.
