Sclitterbahn parks of galveston is a good place to enjoy. The tickets are overpriced, this makes us some less visits. It is a cool pool of joy in hot texas summer. Its really nice to enjoy the breeze of water parks.I wish if they offer some less priced tickets. Its fun to enjoy with the whole family. It is also safer as we will be given life jackets. We also can bring our own foods. My kids enjoy much at waterparks. They love playing with water which I donot allow at home. This is a big fun for kids.
We went to Schlitterbahn in Galveston last summer. We were disappointed because this Schlitterbahn is not as good (or big) as the one in New Braunfels. It cost a fortune for a family of four. Although one feature we really appreciate is that they allow you to bring a cooler of food/drinks (so that saves a lot of money). All in all, we had a good time -- but it wasn't worth the overpriced ticket price.
We have gotten sessions passes for the last 2 years! Thats how much fun it is! We usually go late in the day to avoid the harsh texas sun. The lines move pretty fast except on weekends (evan during the summer). The water and grounds are kept very clean, evan after rains or storms. There are a lot of life guards and staff. And there is so much room on the lazy river we have never felt crowded by other guests.
While this place is fun, the fun only lasts for about three hours. Our family is used to the Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels, which hosts many more rides. In three hours, we had ridden every ride (some more than twice), and were ready to go. To me, that didn't seem like we were getting our moneys worth. I mean, it is a great place to bring the kids after a day on the nearby beach.
