"Great"

Sarasota is a fabulous county. It has beautiful beaches, amazing shops, tons apon tons of things to do. The beaches first off are the best. White fluffy sand, dolphin sightings daily, not too crowded, beauiful. They have hiking trails, bike traisl, places to bring your pets, and ofcourse picnic areas for you and your family. The water is perfect. Just an all around great place that needs to be added to your bucket list.

"Fun with the Family"

Continue on Route 789.
As you cross the next bridge to a new cluster of islands, the address changes to Sarasota. City island, just north and east of the bridge from Longboat Key, protects Sarasota's environmental soul. The following three attractions concentrate on the area's flora and fauna.
On the west side of Route 789, or John Ringling Parkway, Lido Key holds some very nice beaches that attract sun lovers in throngs. Tucked into the island's bayside crook, St. Armands Key is the site of the famous shopper's arena known as St. Armands Circle. Here you get your first inkling of the great impact one man had on Sarasota. That man was John Ringling, circus mogul. Though Sarasota tries at times to forget the raucousness of its circus era - thirty-odd years during which the 'Greatest Show on Earth' wintered in town - the memories lurk everywhere. In the park areas around St. Armands Circle, you'll find classic statues, reminders of Ringling's love of art, and plaques commemorating some of the circus's greatest performers. Also of interest to kids are the shopping center's various ice cream and candy shops.
