"Run, run, run!"

This is an awesome nature park with acres of space to walk and run.  The kids would have spent hours here running up and down the trails.  We just wandered the area near the nature center and had a picnic lunch.  There is a 10,000 square foot nature center but we skipped this because everyone was exhausted.  I hope to return to see it!

"Fun with the Family"

Sandy Bottom Nature Park has wooded and marshy wetlands with platforms for visitors to observe the migrating birds and the shorebirds who feed along the margins of a lake and the wetlands. Guided walks and other programs are offered. This park was once the site of a garbage dump, a heartening reminder that natural resources can be reclaimed.
