This historic stop is not far from the Wild Animal Park. When we first stopped here and I read some of the histoy behind the location. I had no idea such a battlefield actually existed in San Diego. I went here with a group of 7th graders and while we were here one of the kids got lost. He was hiding under the bridge entering to the museum, he said he lost his watch and was looking for it but it was strange he didn't answer when his name was called but the moral of the story is hold on to the kids here as there is a lot of brush around here and great hiding places.
The museum honors those who participated in the 1846 San Pasqual Battle during the Mexican-American War. See videos and exhibits regarding that historic time. A dramatic reenactment is held every December.
