Get into the Christmas spirit at the Salinas Holiday Parade of Lights. This family and community-centric event is one of the most highly anticipated events of the year. The lighted parade consists of marching bands, floats, dancers and classic cars. Come early and grab a spot along the parade route which goes up South Main Street and through Oldtown to the National Steinbeck Center.
The annual Salinas Holiday Parade of Lights attracts over 10,000 spectators. Celebrity announcers keep you well informed during the festivities.

Come on down to Maya Cinemas from 4 pm to 6 pm for some pre-parade kid-fun. Write a letter to Santa and put it in the North Pole Priority Mail slot OR hand-deliver it to the big guy yourself! Both Santa and Mrs. Claus will be in the lobby of Maya Cinemas (from 4 pm - 5 pm), anxious to hear all your Christmas wishes. Enjoy face painting, crafts, sidewalk chalk fun, free popcorn and more. ONLY from 4 pm - 6 pm on Sunday before the parade!
